If you found the possible meteorite, please name/describe the locality where it was found. There is no need to be specific if you do not wish to disclose this. You can simply name the closest place with a post office to give us some idea whether other meteorites have previously been found in that vicinity :

What is the size of the specimen (in either cm or inches)?

What is the weight of the specimen (preferably in kilograms or grams)?

What is the surface colour of the specimen?

Please describe the surface as best you can :

If the specimen broken to reveal the character of the interior, what does it look like? What is the interior colour?

Is the specimen strongly magnetic, weakly magnetic or non-magnetic (test it with one of your fridge magnets)?

If you haven't had a chance, It might also help if you looked at some of the sample images on this or other websites (see meteorite links). If you can send a digital image of the possible meteorite (with a scale of some sort showing) to micronex@micronex.ca, it would probably be a great help.
